International Conference on Water, Environment, Energy and Society (WEES-2009): Progress updates

It is my pleasure to share with you the updated progress on the organisation of the International Conference on Water, Environment, Energy and Society (WEES-2009) slated during 12-16 January 2009, New Delhi, India. The WEES-2009 is India’s contribution to IHP-VII of UNESCO and is being sponsored by CIDA, IAEA, UNESCO, World Bank, Government of India, etc. The response to the Conference is overwhelming; we have accepted 70 KEYNOTE papers and 362 voluntary papers (total 432 at the final count (by the deadline). We expect about 250 international delegates and a total participation of >500 delegates, thus providing a global forum for such an initiative. Further, we have hired the Allied Publishers to publish the pre-Conference Proceedings.
